The Mom Economy in partnership with Shopify are searching for the most innovative, unique and community driven mother-owned businesses.  

And we want YOUR business to apply!  

According to WBENC, 4 out of 10 businesses in the U.S. are owned by women, but here’s something you may not know about them—88% of those businesses generate $100,000 or less in yearly revenue.  

This year, The Mom Economy wants to change that.  

We are launching our third annual Mother’s Mercado in Dadeland Mall in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at the Miami mecca of fashion and dining (yeah, we know, pretty cool)!

Who:  YOU (plus other mompreneurs and brands like Shopify and more) 

What:  The Mother’s Mercado: a 2-day pop-up retail experience to assist mompreneurs who have an e-commerce store and/or sell a product or good.  

By submitting your application for Mother’s Mercado, you’ll have access to our Shop Mom coworking lounge where top brands like Shopify will host hands-on workshops, breakout sessions, and other activities. 

Where: DADELAND MALL, Miami’s original and iconic shopping center 

When: Saturday, December 11th and Sunday, December 12th, 2021 

Why: Our goal is to give mother-owned businesses the opportunity of a retail-leasing experience, while inspiring the community and encouraging people to Shop Mom! While selling your unique items, you’ll also be supporting The Mom Economy’s 501(c)(3) non-profit organization as we bring more awareness about and fund our maternal leave grant.

To qualify: 

• Your business must be a minimum of 50% “Mother-Owned.” 
• Your business must be a registered company in the U.S. 
• Your annual revenue must be less than $1 million USD. 
• You must be available December 11th and Sunday, December 12th, 2021.

To complete the application process, applicants must agree to pay the $50 application fee via credit card or PayPal. This is a non-refundable fee.
